Salah Abdul-Rahman Jihan-Bagsh Ali Agha JMOR
He was born in Ali Agha Village, Qurato, Khanaqeen 27 June 1956 from a well
known patriotic Kurdish family. He was educated in Qurato Primary School
and Khanaqin Intermediary School.
He moved to Baghdad to continue his education at Markazia Secondary School where he joined the Kurdistan student union. He then went on to continue his education at Engineering School, Sulymani University starting from 1974, graduating from the Electronic department at the same University in 1978.
He continued his political activity with the Kurdish uprising in the University
and afterward. He refused to join the military service and left Iraq for Europe
in 1979.
He then joined the patriotic Union of Kurdistan in its early years. In 1980

PUK and current president of Iraq) at Neaw Zang for a while and undertook activities
under the leadership of the party.
He understood the lack of the international support for the Kurds, and decided to move back to Europe passing through Iran to settle in Switzerland. He maintained his education and struggled politically for the right of Kurds in the divided Kurdistan. Also, he had good relations with the European politician and journalist around the world.
As an informal Kurdish Representative to the United Nation and other International Institutions in Geneva between 1982-1992, he was instrumental in informing the world about the genocide of Halabja, the forced disappearance of 8000 Barzany's and the crime of the Anfal where 182,000 Kurds were massacred by Sadam Hussein’s army in 1988.
His voice was vibrating across the airwaves and the media defending the Kurds across the 4 parts of Kurdistan in 1980's where the voices of other Kurds were hardly heard.

On the day he turned 49, he arrived in Baghdad for a family visit. One day later on the 28th of June 2005 he was killed by the invading American troops in Baghdad. This crime happened at around 9:30 am while he was in a car driven by his youngest brother on the Mohammad Al-Kassim motorway in the eastern part of the city. He was targeted by an American military convoy approaching his car from a sideway. This inexcusable crime was committed for no apparent reason by troops claiming to be liberators but instead have turned into occupiers.
